To view your balances in our Banking app, simply log in and select the account.

You'll find your balance in the top right-hand corner and your available balance in the top left. Your available balance takes into account any pending transactions you have.

Though it's not possible to download a statement in our app, you can see all the payments in and out of your account in the transaction list. It will be set to one month but if you tap the 'activity from' box on your screen, you'll be able to choose different time periods.

Balances and statements in the Internet Bank

When you log in to the Internet Bank and select your current account from the account list, you will automatically be shown your full statement. This shows your account balance, available balance, transactions made within the statement period, your arranged overdraft and any charges due to be applied.

Click the link (+) to see the other statement view:

Your statement archive enables you to download copies of previous statements. You can download up to 36 months worth of statements online via a PDF file. If you require more than one statement, you'll need to repeat the instructions for each of the statements.

To view your statement archive, please log in to the Internet Bank and:

  1. Select View accounts - tab located at the top of the page
  2. Select your current account - link under current accounts
  3. Select Statement archive - from the View accounts menu on the left side of the page
  4. Select your statement date

Statement date Use the drop down list to change the year.
More details Select the plus (+) button next to the account heading to view more details about the account.

What's on your statement?

Your full/archive statement shows the:

  • Account balance - This is a real time representation of the funds in your account.
  • Available balance - This shows how much money you can access today. This can include visa reservations made against your account (not reflected in the account balance), and also cheques that have been credited to your account but that are not yet available for withdrawal .
  • Transactions made within the statement period - if there's a zero balance and no transactions have taken place during the previous month, a statement will not be sent.
  • Arranged overdraft - located at the top and on the right side of the statement
  • Any charges - located at the bottom of the last statement page
  • IBAN, BIC and SWIFT numbers - located above the transaction section

To view your mortgage statement, please log in to the Online Bank and:

  1. Select View accounts - tab located at the top of the page
  2. Select your mortgage
  3. Select your statement date - use the drop down list provided
  4. Select the button View

What's on your statement?

Statements show the:

  • Balance - opening balance and outstanding balance
  • Transactions - payments received and interest charged
  • Interest rate history
  • Agreed redemption date
  • Overpayments - these are bundled together with your monthly payment

To view your savings statement, please log in to the Internet Bank and:

  1. Select View accounts - tab located at the top of the page
  2. Select your account

Features on this page

Other views This page defaults to last month. You can change this to view the last 3 months, last 6 months or you can enter your own dates by selecting the buttons/drop down list within the dates displayed section.
Filter transactions To select/de-select types of transactions, select the drop down list filter transactions next to the heading transaction type.
Sorting payments Select the title of each column to sort your payments in ascending or descending order.

What's on your statement?

Statements show the:

  • Account balance - This is the amount you have spent (as processed by the close of business on the previous working day).
  • Transactions made within the statement period - If there's a zero balance and no transactions have taken place during the previous month, a statement will not be sent.
  • IBAN, BIC and SWIFT numbers - These are located above the transaction section.

When you log in to the Internet Bank and select the credit card link from your account list, you're automatically shown the recent transactions applied to your account since your last statement. Your available balance is also shown, but doesn't show any transactions currently being processed and is for indicative purposes only.

The other two statement views are:

Statement summary / statement archive

Please log in to the Internet Bank and:

  1. Select View accounts - tab located at the top of the page
  2. Select your credit card link
  3. Select statement summary * / statement archive - from the menu on the left side of the page
  4. If you want to download your statement, click 'download transactions' and select the format you require.

* You will automatically see the latest account summary but can choose to view any previous summaries for up to 15 months, where a previous statement has been issued.

What's on your statement?

IMPORTANT

Recent transactions - shows the transactions applied to your account since your last statement. Your available balance is also shown, but doesn't show any transactions currently being processed and is for indicative purposes only.

Previous / archive statements - show the information from the first sheet of your statements and shows:

  • Account Balance - This is the amount you have spent (as processed by the close of business on the previous working day).
  • Available Balance - This doesn't show transactions being processed and will not tell you exactly how much you have available to spend.
  • Transactions made within the statement period - If there's a zero balance and no transactions have taken place during the previous month, a statement will not be sent.
  • Credit Limit - Shows your credit limit.
  • Next Payment Date - The date your next payment is due.
  • Next Statement Date - The date your next statement will be sent to you.
  • Previous Statement Date - The date we sent you your previous statement.

If you see more than one card mentioned on your statement, it could be because your card number has changed, it's been reported as lost/stolen or the card type has changed. Old cards may remain on the listing. We maintain these accounts for some time on our systems to monitor any unauthorised usage. The details of the old card are for information only and will be removed on future statements.

Statement related features:

Choosing to go paperless is a great way to reduce waste and help the environment. You can update your paperless settings and view your statements in the Internet Bank or our Banking app.

When each month's statement is ready, we'll let you know by email. If you don't get an email from us, check your statements regularly anyway using our Internet Bank or our Banking app. This will help you spot any transactions you're unsure of, and show you any charges you've incurred.

To change your paperless settings in the Internet Bank:


  1. Log in
  2. Select the Manage tab at the top of the page
  3. Under My site settings, select 'View or change my site settings'
  4. Choose the accounts you want to make paperless (you'll receive online statements instead), or select Stop all paper statements
You can always change it back if you want to receive paper statements again.

To change your paperless settings in the Banking app:


  1. Log in
  2. Go to the menu at the top right of the screen
  3. Choose Details & settings
  4. Select Paperless settings
  5. Select to turn paperless statements on or off

Things to remember when you go paperless


  • When you choose to go paperless, we'll stop sending your statements in the post.
  • You can view the transactions from the last 15 months in the Internet Bank or our Banking app, at any time. 
  • We'll send you an email when your latest statement is ready to view, which will also tell you if you've incurred any fees in the last month. If you don't receive this email, please let us know.
  • If it's a joint account and you don't receive separate statements, make sure all account holders are happy with the changes you make.

Statement not downloading - If the statement isn't downloading, it may be because the browser is already being used for another task or the browser is not supported. Please follow this link to our troubleshooting page for more information.

The calendar view shows you your previous transactions, upcoming regular payments and future dated single payments for a calendar month.

To view the calendar, please log in to the Internet Bank and:

  1. Select View accounts - tab located at the top of the page
  2. Select your current account
  3. Select Calendar view - from the menu on the left side of the page

Show more details Use the links 'show more' under credited amounts.
Previous / next Use the buttons at the top of the page to see previous or the next months view.
Show all transactions Use the check box located at the top of the page, under the previous button to show all the transactions in that calendar month.

Paid in vs. paid out shows a graph of money you've paid in and taken out, over a period of time.

To view the paid in vs. paid out graph, please log in to the Internet Bank and:

  1. Select View accounts - tab located at the top of the page
  2. Select your current account
  3. Select Paid in vs. paid out - from the menu on the left side of the page
Features on this page
Change the months Use the tabs at the top of the page and select the month(s) you wish to view.
Show exact amount Hover over either the total paid in / total paid out bar, to view the exact amount.
View the information in a table At the bottom of the page use the + button to display the information in a table.

Balance over time shows you how your account balance has changed over a period of time. This graph will not reflect any arranged overdraft arrangements you may have in place.

To view the balance over time graph, please log in to the Internet Bank and:

  1. Select View accounts - tab located at the top of the page
  2. Select your current account
  3. Select Graph view - from the menu on the left side of the page
  4. Select Balance over time - from the menu on the left side of the page

Change the months Use the tabs at the top of the page and select the month(s) you wish to view.
Show exact amount Hover over either the graph to view the exact amount.
View the information in a table At the bottom of the page use the + button to display the information in a table.
