    You can keep your FlexOne until you’re 23. We’ll then move you to a FlexAccount or FlexDirect.

  • A choice of 2 cards

    If you're aged 11 to 17 and a half, you can choose between a cash card and Visa debit card. Cash cards can only be used to get money from cash machines and print mini statements. From 17 and a half, you’ll need to use a Visa debit card.

Important:

FlexOne accounts for 11- and 12-year-olds can only be opened over the phone or at certain branches with a tablet. Contact your local branch to set up an appointment and find out what options are available.

You’ll be set up to make contactless payments up to £45 with your Visa debit card.

When you open a FlexOne current account, depending on your age you’ll need to choose between a cash card or a Visa debit card.

Once you’re 18, we’ll automatically switch you to a Visa debit card if you don’t already have one.

Contactless with you in control

We're always working hard to keep our younger members and their money safe. So, if you apply for a FlexOne, the card will be limited to £45 for contactless payments in the UK. This is instead of the usual £100.

As a parent, you can also restrict the ability to make contactless payments further. For that little bit extra security. You just need to call us to discuss contactless.

I'm 18 and over and already have a FlexOne

Your FlexOne card will be limited to £45 for contactless payments the UK. But we have a great range of adult current accounts available. They all come with a £100 limit for contactless payments.
