Get access to the Internet Bank and Banking app by registering online or on your mobile device.


If you’re new to Nationwide you’ll have to wait six days to register and use the Internet Bank or Banking app. This is so we can set you up on our systems.

Before you register

To register online or on the Banking app, we'll need:

  • your full name
  • your address and postcode
  • your email address
  • your mobile number
  • you to agree to the T&Cs
  • the account details for the account you want to register with.

We’ll send you codes by email and text. Enter the codes and you’re ready to start using your account online. It may take 24 hours for your current account to appear.

If you can't receive the codes, we'll be able to post your details instead. They usually arrive within 3-5 working days.


You will receive a text message as part of the registration process, so check you have signal before you begin.

How to register

You can register on the:

  • online banking registration page, or
  • the Nationwide Banking app.

Once registered, you can log in to both the Banking app and the Internet Bank.


If you’re registering a current account for the first time, we’ll send you a card reader in the post.
