Travel insurance claim
FlexPlus travel insurance has changed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. If you’re thinking about opening a FlexPlus account, make sure you read the Summary of Changes document as this forms part of your policy.
You're no longer covered for cancelling your trip due to COVID-19 or a pandemic, before you travel, unless it is for medical reasons. This applies to all trips booked, or new accounts opened, on or after 1 January 2021.
If you bought a travel insurance upgrade and haven't been able to use it due to the coronavirus, you may be able to get a refund.

To make a claim, you'll need to tell us what you are claiming for, including the amount being claimed and details of the trip.

Make a travel insurance claim online
Make and check on outstanding claims using the U K Insurance travel insurance portal. Please be advised that only claims logged from 22 March 2021 will be available on the portal. For claims logged before this date, instructions are provided on the portal for how to progress these.
To register with and access the portal, you'll need your FlexPlus current account details. For joint account holders, you'll need to register separately and use the address and personal data on your FlexPlus current account when registering.

Breakdown cover claim
What you need to make a breakdown cover claim
You’ll need to tell us:
- the registration number, make, model and colour of your vehicle
- the exact details of where you are
- the phone number you’re calling from
- the problem with your vehicle.
If you need help with a vehicle that’s not registered to you, you’ll need to tell us:
- your name, as shown on your account
- your home address
- the make, model and registration number of the vehicle you’re travelling in.
If you need help for a vehicle that’s registered to a FlexPlus account holder, you’ll need to tell us:
- your full name
- the full name of the FlexPlus account holder
- their home address and date of birth
- the make, model and registration number of the vehicle.
There’s no excess to pay and no limit to your callouts.

Mobile phone insurance claim
What you need to make a mobile phone insurance claim
You’ll need to prove you own the phone when you claim. This could be a till receipt or documentation from your network provider showing the IMEI number, make and model of your phone.
You can find your IMEI number by typing *#06# into your phone.
What you’ll need for different types of claim:
- For loss or theft claims, contact your network provider as soon as possible so they can block your SIM card.
- For theft claims, you’ll need to provide a crime reference number. Contact the police to get a crime reference number.
You'll need to pay the cost of postage and packaging if you send us your mobile phone for repair.
You can claim a maximum of 4 times in any 12 month period.
Excess if you claim
You will need to pay an excess for every accepted claim.
