Your contact details are your:

  • address
  • phone number
  • email
  • marketing preferences.

To change your contact details in the Internet Bank

  1. Log in to the Internet Bank (This link will open in a new window) (This link will open in a new window) (you'll need your card reader to hand)
  2. Select the Manage my details & settings tab at the top of the page
  3. Select the item you'd like to change under 'My Details'
  4. Choose which of your details you need to update and select Change
  5. Update your details and select Update to submit your changes

Change your details in the Banking app

You can change your email address in our Banking app:


  1. Open the app
  2. Go to the menu 
  3. Choose 'Details & Settings'
  4. Choose ‘Your details’
  5. Where your email address is shown, select ‘Edit’
  6. Update your email address and select ‘Save’

To update all other personal details online, you will need to log into the Internet Bank.

  • they are under 13
  • an adult manages any accounts for the child

For insurance products

You'll need to contact your policy provider(s) directly in order to change your details.

Changing your details held for insurance and investment products.

If your insurance is connected to your Nationwide FlexAccount or FlexPlus, your contact details will automatically be updated when you change the details on your current account.

For investment products

Investments through Nationwide are provided by Cofunds and Legal & General.

For a change of business, club, charity or society details

You can update details held for a business, club, charity or society by visiting your local branch

We'll need to see originals of one of the following supporting documents (unfortunately, we can’t accept photocopies or certified copies):


  • Clubs and societies: club/society constitution and/or rules, or letterhead confirming club/society name, or letter confirming purpose of club/society. 
  • Registered charities: Official document from the Charity Commission quoting the registered charity number. If the charity is a limited company,  a Certificate of Incorporation is also required. 
  • Business: Confirmation documentation provided by Companies House.
