  • marketing preferences.

To change your contact details in the Internet Bank

  1. Log in to the Internet Bank (This link will open in a new window) (This link will open in a new window) (you'll need your card reader to hand)
  2. Select the Manage my details & settings tab at the top of the page
  3. Select the item you'd like to change under 'My Details'
  4. Choose which of your details you need to update and select Change
  5. Update your details and select Update to submit your changes

We can't change your contact details over the phone.


If you have recently completed a mortgage application with Nationwide, the address displayed on the Internet Bank will be the address where the mortgage is held. You will still need to complete a change of address form to update the address for other products you hold with Nationwide.

Change your contact details in the Banking app

You can change your phone number and email address in our Banking app:

  1. Open the app
  2. Go to the menu 
  3. Choose 'Details & Settings'
  4. Choose ‘Your details’
  5. Tap 'Edit' next to the details you want to change
  6. Update your details and tap 'Save'

To update your name or address, you'll need to log into the Internet Bank.

There are two ways to let us know if you’ve changed your address.

Go into a branch

Take along some proof of id to your nearest branch. A member of our staff will make sure our systems are updated correctly.

Tell us by post

Download our change of address form. Fill it in, then post it to:

If you’re letting us know by post, we may still need to contact you for proof of id.

Sorry, but you can’t use this form for a child if they are under 13 or if an adult manages any accounts for them. Please visit your nearest branch instead.

If your insurance is connected to your Nationwide FlexAccount or FlexPlus, your contact details will automatically be updated when you change the details on your current account.

Investments through Nationwide are provided by Cofunds and Legal & General.

For a change of business, club, charity or society details

You must come into branch to update the name of your business, club, charity or society. We must see the originals of the following supporting documents – we can’t accept photocopies or certified copies.

Clubs and societies

  • The club or society constitution and/or rules, or
  • a letterhead confirming the club or society name, or
  • a letter confirming purpose of the club or society.

Registered charities

  • The official document from the Charity Commission quoting the registered charity number.
  • If the charity is a limited company, we also need the Certificate of Incorporation.


  • The Companies House document.
