Register your presence with the UK government

If you are in Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Palestine, Qatar or United Arab Emirates (UAE) you can register your presence in the area. Do this to receive direct updates on the ongoing situation from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

Emergency Medical Assistance for FlexPlus customers

In life-threatening situations, seek medical attention immediately. Once you’ve got help, call Aviva and they’ll coordinate your treatment.

In non-life-threatening situations, call Aviva before arranging hospital admission, treatment or tests, doctor consultations, travel, or accommodation if you’re unable to return home on your original planned return date.

FlexPlus customers wanting to return to the UK

If you are currently unable to travel, contact your airline, travel provider or tour operator.
They are best placed to advise on rearranging flights, refunds, or alternative travel plans.

Get in touch with us if you need to increase your credit card limit. You can do this in your app, via the internet bank or by calling us*.

Customers with plans to travel to the region

Currently the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has various warnings about travelling to several countries in the region. Including:  

  • Bahrain
  • Egypt
  • Iran
  • Israel
  • Kuwait
  • Lebanon
  • Palestine
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Turkey
  • United Arab Emirates (UAE)
  • Yemen.

As the situation is uncertain, be sure to keep an eye on these warnings.

Contact your tour operator or airline directly to discuss if your travel plans have been affected and discuss alternative options with them.

FlexPlus customers 

If you are unable to get a refund or reschedule your trip, you may be able to make a claim for cancellation costs. You may also be able to recover costs from your credit card company if this is how you paid for your trip.

If you choose to travel against FCDO advice:

there is no cover and you will not be able to make a travel claim.
