What is the offer?

If you’re a first-year student, open a FlexStudent and you could get:

  • £100 cash
  • £120 in Just Eat vouchers. 1 £10 voucher a month for 12 months
  • the chance to get another £40 in Just Eat vouchers if you refer 2 first-year friends to open a FlexStudent

How do I qualify for the offer?

To get the offer, you need to:

  • be in, or about to start, your first year of studies
  • open a new FlexStudent between 1 July 2025 and when the offer ends
  • pay at least £500 into it by 12 December 2025

You cannot get this offer if you've had a FlexStudent offer before. Or if you had an open FlexStudent or FlexGraduate on 30 June 2025. We may change, replace or withdraw this offer at any time. Other terms also apply.

These requirements also apply to the friends you refer.

Do I need to pay in the £500 in one go?

No. The amount you pay in just needs to add up to £500 or more by 12 December 2025.

Does my balance need to be £500 on 12 December 2025?

No, you're free to take out as much money as you need.

As long as what you've paid in adds up to £500 or more, you've qualified for the offer.

Where can the £500 come from?

As some examples, the £500 can be from:

  • your student loan
  • your salary
  • a gift from parents
  • savings
  • cash or cheque
  • a transfer from another account

I have a FlexOne children’s account. Can I switch to a FlexStudent and get the offer?

Yes. Just as long as you meet the other requirements of the offer.

When you go to apply for FlexStudent, choose the ‘Change your FlexOne to a FlexStudent’ option on the apply page.

The £100 cash

When will I get the £100?

We'll pay the £100 within 14 calendar days of you putting at least £500 into your FlexStudent.

How will it be paid?

We'll pay it straight into your FlexStudent - you won't need to do anything. It will show in your account and on statements as 'FlexStudent Offer'.

The account will still need to be open for us to pay the money into it.

Can I ask for it to be paid into a different account?

No. We can only pay it into your FlexStudent. But you can transfer it to another account when you've received it.

The £120 of Just Eat vouchers

How do I claim the vouchers?

We'll email you within 14 calendar days of you putting at least £500 in your FlexStudent. The email will have a link and a registration code to get you set up on our voucher portal.

Once you're registered, you can claim your first £10 voucher straight away. Then just come back the following month and your next voucher will be waiting for you.

To see your vouchers, log in to the voucher portal and head to ‘Your rewards’.

You can also get to the portal through our banking app. Log in to the app, then go to ‘More’ then ‘Manage my benefits’.

How long are the vouchers valid for?

Once you've registered, you'll have 30 calendar days to claim your first voucher. Each voucher after that can then only be claimed during the month it was issued.

For example: if you register on 10 September, you'll have until 9 October to claim your first voucher. You'll then need to claim your second voucher between 1 October and 31 October.

You'll lose a voucher if you don't claim it for that month.

How do I use the vouchers?

The vouchers are codes that you redeem on Just Eat's website or app. You'll have to set up an account if you don't have one already.

How to use a voucher on Just Eat:

  1. log in to Just Eat
  2. select ‘Redeem a voucher’ from your account (‘Account credit’ if you're using their app)
  3. enter or paste the code that's on your voucher

The £10 will be added to your account balance like a gift card. So you don't have to use it all at once.

Can I still claim the vouchers if I close my FlexStudent account?

No. If you close your FlexStudent account, you'll lose access to the voucher portal and won't be able to claim any more vouchers.

The refer a friend bonus

What is the refer a friend bonus?

You could get another £40 in Just Eat vouchers if you refer 2 first-year friends to open a FlexStudent (£20 per friend).

You refer friends by giving them referral codes you can generate in the voucher portal.

How do my friends qualify?

Like you, your friends need to:

  • be in, or about to start, their first year of studies
  • open a new FlexStudent between 1 July 2025 and when the offer ends
  • pay at least £500 into it by 12 December 2025

They also cannot have had a FlexStudent offer before, or an open FlexStudent or FlexGraduate on 30 June 2025.

How do I refer my friends?

After you're registered on the voucher portal, you'll be able to generate your referral codes. Give these codes to your friends.

You need to generate your codes within the offer period, and they need to be used by 31 January 2026.

Maximum of 2 referral codes. 1 code per friend.

How are the referral codes used?

If you or a friend have been referred:

  1. open a new FlexStudent as a first-year student
  2. open the account between 1 July 2025 and when the offer ends
  3. pay in £500 before 12 December 2025
  4. we'll email registration details for the voucher portal within 14 calendar days
  5. enter the referral code during registration for the voucher portal

After registration is complete, both the referrer and their friend can claim their extra £20 voucher in the portal. You'll both have 30 days to claim it.

The referral code is only valid until 31 January 2026.

Using the voucher portal

How do I access the portal?

You can log in to the portal by going to justeat.nationwide.co.uk/login.

You can also get to the portal through our banking app. Open the app, go to 'More' then 'Manage my benefits'.

I’ve lost my registration email so can’t claim the vouchers

Firstly, double check your emails. It's worth checking your deleted folder as well as junk in case it's just been misplaced. The email will be from no-reply@communications.nationwide.co.uk.

If you still can't find it, don't worry. You can get your registration code and access the voucher portal through our banking app. Open the app, go to 'More' then 'Manage my benefits'.

I paid in £500 but haven’t had an email to claim my vouchers

If you:

  • are in, or about to start, your first year of studies
  • opened your FlexStudent on or after 1 July 2025 and before the offer closed
  • paid in at least £500 by 12 December 2025
  • have waited 14 calendar days

Double check your junk and deleted email folders for an email from no-reply@communications.nationwide.co.uk.

If you can't find the email, you can get your registration code and access the voucher portal through our banking app. Open the app, go to 'More' then 'Manage my benefits'.
