Find a new mortgage deal and apply to switch
If you have a Nationwide mortgage, you can use our online Mortgage Manager to check the latest deals and if you’re eligible to switch. And you might be able to switch online as well.
You can also always speak to us for some free advice. Our mortgage advisers can tell you if you’re eligible to switch and help you choose a deal that’s right for you.
When you can switch online
You can apply to switch online now - without paying an Early Repayment Charge - if you're on:
- a tracker mortgage deal
- a fixed rate mortgage deal with less than 6 months left
- the Standard Mortgage Rate or Base Mortgage Rate
You'll be given the choice of a few dates for your new deal to start from.
If you want to switch and borrow more at the same time, you could end up paying more if you apply online.
Please call us to get free advice from one of our mortgage advisers and see if you could save money.
When you cannot switch online
We'll need to speak to you first if:
You're on a fixed rate deal with more than 6 months left
An Early Repayment Charge (ERC) will apply, and we need to take the payment over the phone or by video call.
One of our mortgage advisers can also talk through your needs to make sure switching early is right for you and recommend the right deal.
You can check what your current ERC is by logging in to Mortgage Manager and selecting 'View full account details'. Or you can access Mortgage Manager through our Banking app.
You’re on one of our mortgage deals for over 55s
If you're on a Retirement Interest Only mortgage or a Retirement Capital and Interest mortgage, we can only complete your application by phone or video call.
When you apply, one of our mortgage advisers can also talk through your options and recommend the right deal for you.
