What to do if your PIN is locked
We'll lock your PIN if you enter it incorrectly 3 times. We do this in case it's someone else trying to use your account.
Note:
If your PIN is locked, contactless will only work for a certain number of transactions. To get it working again, you'll need to unlock your PIN and then make a payment using your card with the PIN.
If you know your PIN
If you know your PIN, you can change it at a cash machine.
- Insert your card into the cash machine.
- Enter your PIN.
- Select PIN services.
- Select PIN change.
- Choose a new PIN.
If you don't know your PIN
If you can’t remember your PIN, you can request a new one. We’ll post a new PIN to you within 3 to 5 working days.
Once you have a new PIN, you’ll need to use a cash machine or make a Chip and PIN purchase to get it working again.
Banking without your PIN
You can still get cash or make a payment without your PIN. Visit us in branch with some ID, such as a passport or driving licence. A member of our team will help you.
