If you're not already banking online with us, it only takes 5 minutes to register. You'll need your account details and mobile phone.

Register for online banking

In the Banking app

To change your phone number, email address and home address*:

  1. Log in to the Banking app.
  2. Use the menu and choose Details & Settings.
  3. Choose Your details.
  4. Tap View or change your address and Edit next to the details you want to change.
  5. Follow the instructions to save your changes.

*You can only change your home address if you’re 18 or over and changing between UK addresses.

In the Internet Bank

To change your phone number, email address and home address:

  1. Log into the Internet Bank.
  2. Choose Manage my details & settings.
  3. Within My personal details, use the View or change my personal details link.
  4. Choose the link for the details you would like to update.
  5. Follow the instructions to save your changes.


If you have recently completed a mortgage application with Nationwide, the address displayed on the Internet Bank will be the address where the mortgage is held. You will still need to update your address for other products you hold with Nationwide.

Take some valid ID like your passport or driving licence, to your nearest branch and we'll update your details.

You'll need to download, complete and post a copy of our change of address form. Send the form to:

We may still contact you for proof of identification before we can change your address.


We're sorry, but you cannot use this form for a child under 13 or if an adult manages any accounts for them. Please visit your nearest branch instead.

Update your details for insurance and investment products

You'll need to contact your provider directly to change your details.

If your insurance is connected to your Nationwide FlexAccount or FlexPlus account, your contact details will automatically be changed when you update your current account details.

Change contact details for a business, charity, club or society

You must visit a branch to change contact details for one of these organisations.

You'll need to bring original documents and valid ID. Unfortunately, we cannot accept photocopies or certified copies.

You will need the confirmation documentation provided by Companies House.


You need to bring an official document from the Charity Commission. It must quote the registered charity number. If the charity is a limited company, you'll also need the Certificate of Incorporation.

Clubs and societies

You need to bring one of:

  • the constitution or rules
  • a letterhead confirming its name, or
  • a letter confirming its purpose.
