Apply for the Member Credit Card

To get a Member Credit Card you must:

  • Be 18 or over.
  • Be a UK resident.
  • Be a Member of Nationwide. This means you already have a current account, mortgage or savings account with us.
  • Have a minimum income of £5,000 per year.

So you know

  • We'll check your credit history during your application. That way, we can let you know if you'll be eligible for a Member Credit Card. If you are, we'll also tell you what your APR and credit limit will be. We can check this without leaving a mark on your credit record that other lenders can see.

If you are happy with your quote and want to continue your application, we'll leave a record of our check on your credit file that other lenders can see. This is a normal part of many credit application processes, but it might affect whether you can get credit elsewhere for a short period of time.

  • You can only have one Nationwide credit card at a time. You won't be able to get a Member Credit Card if you already have another credit card with us.

  • If you have closed a Nationwide credit card in the last 12 months, you will not be able to get the introductory offers. However you can still apply for a new card and enjoy all the other benefits.

  • If you've already applied for a Nationwide credit card in the last 30 days, you shouldn't apply again. This may affect your credit score and our decision is not likely to change.
