Making a difference
If the past year has taught us anything, it’s just how important it is to have somewhere safe to call home.
That’s why we donated 10p to Shelter for every vote cast in our 2021 AGM, up to a maximum of £50,000.
It means members helped us raise £50,000 for the housing charity. The money will go to those struggling to find a safe and secure place to call home.
A huge thank you to everyone that voted. Your vote really made a difference.
We've been supporting Shelter for 20 years. We're so proud of what we've achieved together.
During that time, colleagues and members have:
raised more than £6.7 million to fund Shelter’s frontline services
helped almost 100,000 people facing bad housing and homelessness
supported Shelter’s helplines for those facing homelessness
worked together on policy and campaigns that make a difference to people in housing need.
Ongoing Covid restrictions meant this year’s AGM was held with a minimum number of directors and colleague members in person. We made it possible for eligible members to watch the event live.
