Nationwide Building Society is today (12 January 2024) launching new issues of its Fixed Rate Online Bonds, Fixed Rate Branch Bonds and Fixed Rate ISAs. 

• Cash usage rises for second year in a row with 31.4 million withdrawals made from Nationwide ATMs last year
• Competitor branch closures see average ATM usage increase 55% in towns where Nationwide is last branch in town
• Nationwide ATMs in Twickenham, Redruth and Purley see respective rises in withdrawals of 154%, 144% and 92%
• ATMs not just for withdrawals as nearly half of transactions for services such as mini-statements or paying bills

 Nationwide Building Society withdrew its market-leading switching incentive at 0.01am on 22 December. 

Nationwide Building Society is today (22 December 2023) launching new issues of its Fixed Rate Online Bonds, Fixed Rate Branch Bonds and Fixed Rate ISAs.

From today, Monday 11 December, Nationwide Building Society is reducing the minimum visa validity period required for residential mortgage applications.

On Friday 8 December, The Mortgage Works (TMW) is reducing rates on products for new and existing customers by up to 0.40 percentage points, with rates starting from 4.19%.

Effective from tomorrow, Friday 8 December, Nationwide Building Society will be reducing selected rates by up to 0.31 percentage points across its two, three and five-year fixed rate product range, with Nationwide’s lowest rate now standing at 4.29%.

Effective from tomorrow, Friday 1 December, Nationwide Building Society will be reducing switcher rates by up to 0.31 percentage points across its two, three and five-year fixed rate products up to 95% LTV.

On Tuesday 28 November, The Mortgage Works (TMW) is reducing rates by up to 0.30 percentage points across its Limited Company and HMO range for new customers.

Over the course of Black Friday, Nationwide members made 9.92 million transactions – 12 per cent higher than a typical Friday.

By 5pm today, Nationwide members had made 6.66 million transactions – 11 per cent higher than a typical Friday.

By 2pm today, Nationwide members had made 4.69 million transactions – 12 per cent higher than a typical Friday.
