Nationwide Building Society is expanding the ways customers can manage their money, announcing a new partnership with PayPoint that will enable cash deposits at more than 3,000 UK locations in addition to its 605 branches.
Customers can now pay cash into their Nationwide account at participating PayPoint stores, many of which are open early until late and seven days a week. Customers can deposit up to £300 a day with money appearing in their account within minutes, offering greater flexibility for those who rely on cash as part of their everyday banking.
The new service furthers Nationwide’s commitment to give customers choice in how they bank and access cash, while sitting alongside the Society’s branch network. Nationwide continues to invest in its high‑street presence and has promised to keep every one of its branches open until at least 2030, recognising the vital role they play in supporting customers and local communities.
It means Nationwide is now the UK’s largest single-brand network following widespread closures of bank branches in recent years.
Stephen Noakes, Director of Retail at Nationwide, said: “We’re pleased to partner with PayPoint to give our customers even more choice in how they manage their money. This service is a valuable addition to our branches. Our leading commitment to the high street and to keeping branches open until at least 2030 remains unchanged, and this partnership helps us serve customers and communities in new and convenient ways.”
The partnership builds on a range of extensive services that are available across Nationwide’s branch network, which offer a range of support - from dementia clinics (which have been recently expanded to Virgin Money branches) and Safe Spaces for those experiencing domestic abuse, as well as everyday banking services.
Customers can find their nearest PayPoint location via the Nationwide website or app.
