We know that recent developments around Coronavirus (COVID-19) will be concerning for lots of you and causing disruption to your daily lives.
We’re keeping a close eye on the situation and have put in place measures to support you during any personal disruption, ill health or financial difficulty arising from Coronavirus.
Service updates
We’re currently receiving a very high number of calls. Please help protect our service for those who really need it by not calling us unless it is absolutely necessary.
We may take longer to answer your calls and messages, or to process your requests. Some of our employees are self-isolating and/or working remotely, and there is a lot to do, but we'll continue to work as fast as we can.
Business Savings
We're currently receiving very high volumes of applications for new Business Savings accounts, so it’s taking longer than usual to open these. We’re currently taking up to 10 working days to open accounts, so please bear with us and avoid calling in for an update.
If you have any questions about our Business Savings, please email us on commercial.deposits@nationwide.co.uk.
Commercial Real Estate Lending
We understand that many businesses are facing difficulties because of Coronavirus. If you’re struggling to make your commercial loan payments, please email us on CommercialCCT@nationwide.co.uk. We’ll listen to your situation and work with you to look at what steps we can put in place to help.
Fraud protection
Be aware that some criminals are using Coronavirus to trick people into sharing personal or financial information.
Watch out for:
- Cold calls from criminals pretending to be from Nationwide or other respectable organisations.
- Emails that ask you to click on a link to log in, update information, or to access important news.
Stay safe:
- Remember that Nationwide will never ask you to move money to a safe account.
- Do not click on links within emails – go direct to the site using the web address you know to be correct.
