You may have read in the news about a data breach affecting transactions made on the British Airways website and mobile app between 21 August and 5 September.
While we can assure you that your Nationwide accounts are protected we wanted to make you aware of this issue and what steps you can take if you have any concerns about your account(s).
Firstly, please be aware that scammers may try to capitalise on this news and pretend to be from British Airways. Please be vigilant to this, particularly if you’re asked to provide personal information or to make a payment.
You don’t need to do anything. We’ve identified the potentially affected accounts and are monitoring them closely for any signs of fraud.
