If you’re locked out of Internet Banking or have forgotten your login details, how you reset them depends on whether you have a card and card reader, or not.

If you enter your login details incorrectly three times, you’ll be locked out from using your passnumber and memorable data to log in.

If you have a card and card reader

You can still log in to the Internet Bank using your card and card reader, and then reset your Passnumber and/or memorable data.

Watch our video on how to log in using a card reader.

To reset your passnumber and/or memorable data, log in and:

  • Select 'Manage'
  • Find 'My security'
  • Select 'View or change my security settings'
  • Find 'My passnumber / memorable data'
  • Choose 'Change'
  • Update your details
  • If you don't have a card and card reader

You'll need to register again to re-set your passnumber and memorable data and get a reminder of your customer number.

In some cases your registration details will be sent in the post, it's important to wait for them before you try to log in again, even if you remember your original details. If you don't, you'll lock your account and your new details won't be valid.
