You can ask to reduce or increase your credit limit any time, you can do so via the Internet Bank, our Banking app or by calling us.

We'll only ever increase your credit limit if you ask us to. Remember, a higher credit limit may offer greater flexibility and convenience to help you with your financial needs. However, it may also increase the risk of you taking on too much debt, which could mean that it costs you more or takes you longer to pay your borrowing off. So, please ask yourself if you really need a higher limit.

How to amend my credit limit on the Internet Bank

Please log in to the Internet Bank and:


  1. Select 'view accounts' tab at the top of the page
  2. Select your credit card account
  3. Select 'amend credit card limit' on the left-hand menu
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions

Limit changes are immediate.

After a change to your credit limit, your account will not be reviewed for 6 months. During this time you won't be able to request another change, even if you didn't take the maximum limit offered.

How to amend my credit limit on the Banking App

Please log in to the Banking App and:

  1. Select your credit card
  2. Select ‘Amend credit limit’ option on the bottom of the screen
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions
