How do I make a change to a Direct Debit?
To make changes to a Direct Debit, you should contact the company collecting the payment.
To change a Direct Debit used to pay your Nationwide credit card
You can change the amount you pay the Internet Bank. The changes will need to be made at least 10 days before the payment is due.
- Log into the Internet Bank.
- Click on your credit card.
- Choose 'Other account services' from the options in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Select 'Amend Direct Debit’.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
If you don’t have internet banking, or want to change the payment date, call our credit card team on 0800 30 20 11 (Mon- Fri 8am-10pm; Sat 8am-8pm; Sun 9am-5pm).
To change a Direct Debit used to pay your Nationwide mortgage
Give us a call on 0800 30 20 11 (Monday – Friday 8am - 8pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm) or visit us in branch at least 10 working days before the payment is due.
To change a Direct Debit used to pay your Nationwide loan
Give us a call on 0800 30 20 11 (Monday – Friday 8am - 8pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm) or visit us in branch at least 5 working days before the payment is due.
To change a Direct Debit from your Nationwide account to another company
Get in touch with the company you’re paying to make any changes.
