An ATM has swallowed my card

If an ATM keeps your card, you’ll need to contact your bank or building society.

It might have kept your card because:

  • you entered your PIN incorrectly more than three times
  • your card has been blocked
  • there’s a problem with the ATM.

If your Nationwide card was swallowed by one of our ATMs

Pop into the branch with some ID. Our branch staff will look into it for you, and will get your card back if they can. If they can’t, they’ll help you order a new one.

If it wasn’t a Nationwide ATM, or you can’t get back to the branch, you can order a new card
