What should I do if I’m locked out of the Internet Bank?

For security reasons you won't be able to log in if you've entered your memorable details incorrectly 3 times. You can unlock your account using a card reader, or change your login details by re-registering.

If you were logging in with your memorable data, use a card reader to log in and unlock your account

Any bank or building society's card reader will work, as long as it accepts your debit card - it's equally safe and secure.

Once logged in, you can change your details if you need to

  1. Select the ‘Manage’ tab at the top of the internet banking homepage.
  2. From the 'My security' box, click 'View or change my security settings'.
  3. Find ‘My passnumber’/ ‘My memorable data’.
  4. Click on the ‘Change’ link and follow the instructions to update your passnumber and then your memorable data.
