What should I do if I’m locked out of the Internet Bank?

For security reasons, your login details will be locked if they’re entered incorrectly 3 times. Don’t worry – there are several ways you can log back in.

Log in with your card reader and change your details

Wait 15 minutes, use your card reader to log in and then:

  1. Select the ‘Manage’ tab at the top of the internet banking homepage
  2. From the ‘My security’ box, click ‘View or change my security settings’
  3. Find ‘My passnumber’/ ‘My memorable data’
  4. Click on the ‘Change’ link and follow the instructions to update your passnumber and then your memorable data.

Any bank or building society's card reader will work, as long as it accepts your debit card - it's equally safe and secure.

Re-register for internet banking

Don’t worry – it only takes a few minutes and doesn’t affect your accounts in any way. We simply reset your login details except your customer number.

You’ll need to have your account details to hand when you re-register.
