Coronavirus (COVID-19) may have an impact on people purchasing a new build home.

We’ve made some changes to our mortgage offers to support you if you’re in the process of applying for a new build mortgage at this difficult time.

Extending your mortgage offer

We are no longer accepting mortgage offer extensions on non-new build properties.

We understand that the current situation means some customers purchasing a new build property may need to request an extension to their mortgage offer, as the property may not yet be complete.

More than a month left on your mortgage offer?

Please avoid getting in touch with us if you have more than 30 days still left on your offer. We will be unable to extend your offer until you have 30 days or less.

A month or less on your mortgage offer?

If you’ve got 1 month or less before your new build mortgage offer expires and you need an extension, we’re offering a 3 month extension period for those eligible.

How to apply

Are you applying to extend a mortgage offer in order to buy a new build property?

Carrying out your valuation

We’re currently able to visit properties to carry out valuations across the UK (although this may not always be possible in areas where lockdown restrictions have been extended). We'll carry out a risk and safety assessment beforehand to ensure current Government guidelines can be met.

Wherever possible we’ll try to carry out your mortgage valuation without visiting or entering the property.
