SignVideo interpreting service

SignVideo is the free, fast and secure way for deaf or hard of hearing customers to communicate with us. 

What you'll need:

  • Smartphone or tablet
  • PC or Mac with webcam 
  • A Broadband connection

Using SignVideo for the first time?

You will be prompted to download a one-off live plug-in. This ensures you'll get a secure, good quality call.

Minimum requirements

Your device must be running Android™ 4.4 (KitKat®) or higher, or Apple iOS 8 or higher.

Minimum requirements

Your device must be running Internet Explorer version 9 or higher, Firefox for Windows or Safari for Mac.

Minimum download and upload speeds:

256 Kbps (384Kbp/s recommended).

How it works

  • Tap or click on 'Connect now'

  • Once connected, tell the interpreter you'd like to call Nationwide.

  • When your call is put through, start your conversation using British Sign Language,

Before your call is connected to us by a SignVideo interpreter, you may be asked if there’s a particular person or department you’d like to speak to.   

SignVideo is available Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm (closed Bank Holidays).
