To make sure we find the best way for you to apply, please answer a couple of questions.

Would you like to transfer in another cash ISA when you apply?

You can do this by filling in our online form.

You can transfer in one (or several) cash ISAs you already have with Nationwide when opening your new account.

You can also tell us if you’d like to transfer in money from any non-ISA account you already have with Nationwide.

To fill in our online form, you’ll need:

  • Account details of the Nationwide cash ISA(s) you want to transfer in at account opening
  • Your National Insurance number
  • The details of any Nationwide non-ISA accounts from which you’d like to transfer in money at account opening

Are you a Nationwide customer already?

You can use our online form to transfer a cash ISA with most other providers to Nationwide.

See a list of providers that allow transfers with our online form

If your provider isn't on the list, you’ll need to come into a Nationwide branch to do the transfer.

To fill in our online form, you’ll need:

  • Account details of the cash ISA you want to transfer in at account opening
  • Your National Insurance number
  • The details of any Nationwide non-ISA accounts from which you’d like to transfer in money at account opening

You’ll need to visit a branch or request a posted application pack if:

  • you have a BFPO address
  • you have been granted Power of Attorney and wish to make a transfer-in request on behalf of the donor (our customer)

You can open the account using our online form. You’ll then be able to transfer money when you receive your account details (account number and sort code).

Alternatively, you can go to a Nationwide branch and we’ll open the account and arrange the transfer for you.
