When it comes to our members’ money, we put their needs first. We’re committed to giving clear advice and helping members potentially get higher returns on their money.

That’s why we are expanding our investment offering by launching our Model Portfolio to new investors. It’s already available to existing investors.

Important:

Investments are only available to our Nationwide members. You’re a member if you have a Nationwide mortgage, savings or current account.

Model Portfolios are a managed group of funds designed to give an expected return.

It offers a suitable alternative if you’re looking for a longer-term investment and an opportunity for higher returns than a standard deposit account.

How does it work?

Important:

The value of your investment can go down as well as up so you may get back less than you originally invested.

Charges

We provide our initial consultations without charge. If you later choose to invest through Nationwide, there will be a charge for our advice service.

Financial planning

Our Model Portfolio must be recommended by one of our Financial Planning Managers (FPM). They are not available online. Members can invest in a Primary Fund online, without advice.

FPMs are available to help new and existing members with their investments needs by offering restricted advice. Appointments are held over the phone or via a video call.

You may want to consider investing to help them:

  • Reduce the effect of inflation in their savings/income
  • Make their money work harder
  • Supplement an income in retirement
  • Support their children with things like university fees or wedding costs

The Model Portfolio option forms part of the wider investment products, which are brought to you by Nationwide and provided by Aegon.
