How to change a Direct Debit
To make changes to a Direct Debit, you should contact the company collecting the payment.
Note:
Make sure you leave enough time before the payment is due. The timings change depending on what your Direct Debit is for.
Manage your Nationwide mortgage Direct Debit

Change a Nationwide loan payment
To make a change to your loan payment, you’ll need to request the change at least 6 working days before the payment is due. You can do so by calling us or visiting us in branch.
Over the phone
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
Saturday, 9am to 2pm.
Closed Sundays and bank holidays.
In branch
Visit us in branch, and one of our team will be happy to help.
Change a Nationwide credit card payment
Any changes will need to be made at least 10 days before the payment is due.
You can change the amount you pay using the Internet Bank:
- Log into the Internet Bank.
- Select your credit card.
- Choose Other account services from the options in the menu.
- Choose Amend Direct Debit.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
If you don’t have internet banking, or if you want to change the payment date rather than the amount, you can call our credit card team.

Change a Direct Debit paid from your Nationwide account
You’ll need to get in touch with the company you’re paying to make any changes.
