Have you tried our Banking app?

Nationwide was the first UK financial institution to offer internet banking, way back in 1997. And we've been improving our online banking services ever since.

Our Banking app gives you the convenience of safe and secure banking anytime or anywhere, even when you're on the move. And it's packed with handy features that help you manage your money.

We're always adding new services and upgrades to make life easier and we'll listen to your feedback to make sure we're meeting your needs.

The Banking app is rigorously checked for safety and security, so you can be sure no one else has access to your accounts or financial information.

Download the app

You must be registered for Digital Banking to be able to use the Banking app. It's easy to get started and use all the features available.

If you have registered, you can download the Banking app and start using it straightaway. Make sure your phone is set to receive automatic downloads and you'll see our icon appear. All you need is a compatible iPhone or Android mobile phone or tablet that can connect to the internet.

The Banking app makes managing your money simpler

  • You can quickly pay bills and make money transfers to friends and family, simply and securely, as well as add new payees
  • The 'Quick Balance' feature lets you check you've got enough money to pay for something, without even logging in
  • To help you budget, you can get a handy visual snapshot of how your income compares to spending over 15 months of current account transactions
  • Search for any transaction to see who you are paying, or compare similar transactions by filtering to find the exact information you need fast
  • Create a savings goal. Say how much you want to save by when and the app tells you how much you need to save daily, weekly or monthly
  • 'Impulse saver' is a quick way to move money from your Nationwide current account to your savings account
  • You can also see pending transactions, meaning you can keep track of items that are not yet showing on your balance
  • Transfer a balance from another credit or store card to your Nationwide credit card

Logging in is easy

On the latest devices, you can use fingerprint or Face ID* to log in and go straight to all your accounts. Or you can enter 3 digits from your Internet Banking pass number.

It's convenient

You can download the Banking app on more than one device: your phone, tablet or both. If your battery's dead, you can just check on your other device. You can even check your balance on a smart watch.

It's perfect for when you're out and about, and you can manage your personal settings on the go: Update your email address, get low or high balance text alerts, or change paperless settings.

Keeping your data secure

Our priority is keeping you safe and secure online. We want you to enjoy the convenience of the Banking app without worrying, which is why we continuously take steps to protect your money.

Our Financial Crime Team monitored 228.9 million logins over six months and found just 104 fraudulent attempts. That's one attempt for every 2.2 million logins**, so we know our customers can be confident in the safety of our Banking App.

In the unlikely event you lose money as a result of fraud, our Digital Banking Promise protects you. We'll put the money back in your account immediately – so you won't lose a penny.
