Nationwide Building Society has today announced the opening of a new larger flagship branch in Coventry. The branch opens on 5th February, and the Society is relocating customers and staff from its current premises, 100 metres down the road to 62-64 Broadgate. An official opening will take place on Saturday 17 February.
The new, larger branch will have space to offer easier access to services including Nationwide NOW1, the Society’s high-definition video link providing access to specialist advisors, along with two additional meeting rooms and a community area to help best serve its members in and around Coventry.
Mandy Beech, Branch Director at Nationwide Building Society said, “We are very pleased to be opening a new branch in Coventry, with enhanced benefits our customers in and around Coventry. The branch features Nationwide’s brand new 4C design concept; convenience, conversation, consultation, and community, as we recognise the changing needs of customers and the ways in which we can help customers in today’s diverse lifestyles.”
We continue to invest in our network, with a five-year plan, to ensure each branch we have across the country can help, support and advise the millions of members who choose to visit us every day. Our branches remain core to our service proposition, as well as the people within them and the technology we provide. We understand that some of our members like interacting face-to-face with our people, that’s why we are rolling out new formats, with larger areas for open plan meetings, private pods for those who prefer more privacy, and technology such as tablets for a greater degree of self-service.”
Nationwide has been present in Coventry since 1926, and the branch raise money for local charities in and around the area. Last year the branch raised over £1,000 for Mary Ann Evans Hospice and will be supporting Anesis Northpoint Church this year, who provide practical and emotional support to homeless and vulnerable people in Coventry.
New Nationwide branch
The branch, at 62-64 Broadgate, contains all the latest innovations Nationwide offers to customers including Nationwide NOW, together with the personal service so many value in an increasingly digital age. The new location will also benefit from Nationwide Radio, a station specifically set up for Society’s branch network having received positive feedback from members.

This is where we’re on hand if you need a little guidance, help with your digital banking or you just fancy a chat.
Speak to one of our experts in a little more privacy. Choose an open plan meeting room or a private pod. It’s up to you.
Have a coffee and read a book while your little ones do some colouring in. Or take a look at our history and what we’ve been up to in your local community. This space is all about you.
