Our new manager and leader development has been created to support our managers and leaders with the challenges they face. We've created core development programmes and learning resources that can be incorporated into day-to-day tasks or accessed on demand.

Senior Leader Programme
This is for senior level leaders.
It’s focused on developing commercial and business leadership skills and providing clarity on what is expected of them. The programme is based around three modules:
- Customer first mindset
- Perform right now
- Transform for the future
Leaders take part in mixed cohorts supporting each other to develop a cross Society perspective. The programme is based around digital learning, a business simulation, face-to-face workshops, and group coaching.
People Manager Programme
This is for all people managers but initially focused on junior and mid-level people managers.
The programme will support managers in building core management skills and provide clarity on what’s expected of them. It’s split into three parts:
- Manage the work
- Manage your people
- Manage your team.
Managers take part in mixed cohorts of 20 people. It includes a one-day performance workshop with actors to develop skills around giving difficult feedback.
On demand learning
A different suite of learning resources that all managers and leaders can access as part of day-to-day tasks.
This digital learning comprises of articles, videos, and bite size learning that’s available via Grow our learning experience platform. Managers and leaders can access the resources at any time to support them in their ongoing learning journey.
