We’ll automatically enter you into the Member Prize Draw every month. That's for the next 12 months, with the first draw in September. Our prize pot is split into 8,008 monthly prizes. So, every month we’re giving away:

  • 1 prize of £100,000
  • 2 prizes of £25,000
  • 5 prizes of £10,000
  • 8,000 prizes of £100

You'll be automatically entered if you're:

  • A Nationwide member with a mortgage, personal savings or current account with us.
  • 18 or over.
  • Resident in England, Scotland or Wales.

For our Northern Ireland members

The gambling laws in Northern Ireland mean members can't benefit from the prize draw itself. Instead, we wanted to give back to the communities you live and work in.

So, we've launched our Northern Ireland Community Fund. The fund will offer grants of up to £5,000 to charities tackling key issues in your area.

Our fund partner, The Community Foundation, are helping us to shortlist entries. They'll be checking the applications to make sure they fit with our fund's themes.

Applications opened on 14 September 2021. We'll be closing applications on the 30 November 2021.

You may know a charity that does great work in your community. Make sure they apply as soon as possible to be in with a chance of being chosen.

How the prize draw works

  1. If you’re eligible on the last working day of the month, we’ll automatically enter you into the next prize draw. Every member will get one entry per month, even if it’s a joint account.
  2. Prizes are drawn on the second Tuesday of each month.
  3. We’ll be in touch to let you know if you’ve won a prize. You’ll have 21 days before the payment is made to tell us if you don’t want to accept the money.

  4. We will make the payment directly into your Nationwide savings or current account, or by cheque.


Please beware of scams, while we will contact our winners we’ll never ask you for your security details, like your card number or PIN.
