Browser support - PC and MAC
Our website is designed to work with all modern browsers without any technical problems. However, although we believe that our sites should work on some of the more uncommon or beta version browsers and operating systems, officially we can only offer support on the range of browsers that we actively test our site against.
What we support
Our browser support is split into two categories:
- Full support: browsers that come under this category should work fully and have no glitches that might cause difficulties in using the page or website. If you find any problems using these browsers contact us and we'll put it right.
- Functional support: browsers that come under this category should work functionally, everything within the site should work, but there may be glitches, such as slightly broken layouts or colours.
Browsers that come under the banner of full support will be a combination of the most used and newest (non-beta) browsers available.
Our Internet Banking Promise applies to both support categories so you can continue to use Internet Banking with complete confidence.
| Fully Supported | Functionally supported | |
|---|---|---|
| Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7 only |
Internet Explorer 6 |
Opera 9.5 |
| Mac OS X (10.4 +) |
Safari 4 |
Safari 3 |
What we don't support
- Any beta browsers
- Any browsers running on any Linux distribution (e.g. Konqueror/KDE, Firefox/Ubuntu)
- Camino, Omniweb or Shiira on Mac OS X
Beta versions of browsers are still in development and we need to ensure they work correctly with our site and systems. Our site may work, however we can't provide you with any technical support and the Internet Banking Promise doesn't apply until the browser is supported.
Support is given on the basis that you don't switch off certain features in the browser settings (e.g. disabling JavaScript) or customise the browser in ways that may affect how it works (for example, adding browser extensions that may cause content not to load or render properly).
