Pay in to a savings account

Pay in to an ISA

Choose the type of ISA you have to see how to pay money in, up to your annual allowance. It's possible to transfer an ISA from one provider to another, or from one ISA to another ISA with the same provider.

It's not possible to add any money into the account after the initial deposit has been paid.

  • Pay in with your passbook (if you have one) or sort code and account number at your local branch.
  • Use the Banking app to move money between your Nationwide accounts.
  • Make a single payment or quick transfer on the Internet Bank.
  • Set up a one off or regular payment from your Nationwide or other current account, by using  the following details:
    • Sort code: 070093
    • Account number: 33333334
    • Roll/Ref: full account number e.g. 1234/123456789 (your full account number can be found within the Internet Bank or passbook, if you have one).
  • Transfers from other ISA providers are allowed.

In the first calendar month you pay money in, you have until the end of that same calendar month to pay in up to £1,200. After this you can pay in up to £200 a month, which applies if you've transferred your ISA from another provider. You don’t have to save the maximum, but if you miss a contribution you can’t make it up the next month.

  • using a completed paying-in slip, either in branch or by post
