Overview

An important change to charges for the Investor Portfolio Service (IPS)

Who is this information for?

Any Nationwide customer who has investments in both commission-included and commission-free funds in a Stocks & Shares ISA or Unit Trust/OEIC on Legal & General’s Investor Portfolio Service (IPS).

In summary:

  • In response to new rules from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), from 1 April 2016 Legal & General will be making changes to the charges you pay for the administration of your investments on IPS.
  • At the same time, Nationwide will be reducing their commission on some funds.

Why are the charges changing?

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) aims to make sure that investors know exactly how much they’re paying for the services in relation to investments they hold.

To help make charges more transparent and easier to understand, the FCA has introduced some new rules that affect how customers pay for investing via platforms like Legal & General’s Investor Portfolio Service (IPS).
