1. Send us a message
If you bank online you can send us a secure message. You must include, the last 4 digits of your account and tell us how you want to receive the remaining balance, for example:
- Please transfer the remaining balance (including interest) into my Nationwide account ending [enter the last 4 digits of your account number here].
- Please send me a cheque for the remaining balance (including interest).
2. Visit us in branch
When you visit us in branch to close your account, you'll need to bring either your passport or driving licence as proof of identity and any account cards, passbooks or certificates.
