You can change your email address online:


  1. Log in to your Internet Bank
  2. Select the Manage my details & settings tab at the top of the page
  3. Select View or change my personal details
  4. Select Change under My email address
  5. Update your details and click Update email to submit your changes

If you do not bank online, you can also change your email address by visiting your local branch or by calling Customer Services on 0800 30 20 11.

For insurance products

You'll need to contact your policy provider(s) directly in order to change your details - please use the relevant contact details provided on Changing your details held for insurance and investment products.

For investment products

Investments through Nationwide are provided by Legal & General – please use the relevant contact details provided on Changing your details held for insurance and investment products.

For a change of business, club, charity or society details

You can update details held for a business, club, charity or society by visiting your local branch

We'll need to see one of the following supporting documents. These need to be originals – photocopies or certified copies cannot be accepted:


  • Clubs and societies: club/society constitution and/or rules, or letterhead confirming club/society name, or letter confirming purpose of club/society. 
  • Registered charities: Official document from the Charity Commission quoting the registered charity number. If the charity is a limited company,  a Certificate of Incorporation is also required. 
  • Business: Confirmation documentation provided by Companies House.
