Nationwide now offers a choice of two household insurance policies, Home Insurance and Home Insurance Essentials.

The information provided below applies to both Home Insurance and Home Insurance Essentials, unless stated otherwise.

Yes, if the sum insured is too low the insurer can reduce your claim settlement by the same percentage that your sum insured is inadequate.

If you insure your main residence with Nationwide or you have a Nationwide mortgage on your second home please call us for a quote on 08000 51 02 38.

Yes, provided we already insure your current home. There will be certain restrictions in cover while the home is unoccupied. Please call us for a quote on 08000 51 02 38.

Renewing your policy couldn't be easier. You will receive your renewal notice 21 days before your renewal date. It will contain all your premium information and a breakdown of your cover.

If your policy is to be renewed automatically you will receive continuous cover. All you need to check is that the information on the renewal notice is still accurate. There is no need for you to contact us unless you need to make an amendment to your renewal.

If your policy is not on automatic renewal you will be informed of this in your Renewal Letter. In order to renew your policy you should contact us on the telephone number provided.
