Nationwide is the proud sponsor of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

Nationwide Building Society is delighted to continue its support of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra until the spring of 2011.

Nationwide Building Society, the biggest building society in the UK, has a major presence as an employer in Bournemouth as well as across the BSO’s heartlands of the south and west.  Nationwide supports a wide range of BSO events, including concerts at the BSO’s home venue at Poole’s Lighthouse, the BSO’s major outdoor firework concerts and high profile events in Henley and Meyrick Park, Bournemouth.

This partnership for the orchestra will provide a major promotional vehicle for Nationwide and key support for the BSO.

Nationwide Building Society will be designated as the Official Sponsor of the orchestra until March 2011.

The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1893, has worked with many famous composers, conductors and musicians. Its current Principal Conductor, is the dynamic Ukrainian Kirill Karabits for the 2009 season onwards.

Each year it performs over 130 concerts in Poole, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Southampton, Weymouth, Exeter, Bristol and Basingstoke, as well as a huge range of education and community projects throughout the region. The BSO has toured worldwide and is well known through over 300 recordings.
