Managing your savings account

- How can I pay money into my savings account?

- by cash or cheque at any Nationwide branch
- by standing order
- by transfer from another Nationwide account at any branch or on the Internet Bank (card accounts only)
- How do I withdraw money from my savings account?

You can make withdrawals subject 60 days' notice or immediately with the loss of 60 days' interest on the amount withdrawn.
Withdrawals can be made in the following ways:
- by cash (up to £500 per day) or by cheque (up to £500,000 per day) at any Nationwide branch
- by transfer to another Nationwide account at any Nationwide branch
- by electronic transfer (there is a £20 charge for each payment)
- How do I find out my interest rate?

You can find your interest rate at nationwide.co.uk or in our branch literature. Alternatively you can ask in branch or telephone 08457 302010.
- How do I keep track of my savings?

Your Champion Saver passbook will provide a record of all transactions that have taken place. A statement will be sent to you annually. A full Champion Saver statement is also available on the Internet Bank. You need to register for Internet Banking.
- Can I check my account and transfer money online?

With your Champion Saver, if you register for Internet Banking:
- you can view your balance by Signing On
- you can view your statement by Signing On
- you can receive transfers from other Nationwide card based accounts
- When is my interest paid?

Interest is calculated daily and credited to your Champion Saver account on 31 December. Alternatively, interest can be paid into another Nationwide account or current account (excluding Regular Savings).
- I'm entitled to receive gross interest – but how do I arrange this?

You need to complete and return an R85 form.
- How do I change my name or address?

There are forms available online to change your name or address. These can be found within 'Other Services' on your Internet Bank. Alternatively you can pop into your local branch.
