Fixed Rate Bonds - how to open an account
To apply for a Nationwide Fixed Rate Bond, you can either:
- Call us on 0800 111 44 30, Mon - Fri: 8am-8pm and Sat: 9am-5pm. You'll need a payment card from which you wish to deposit your savings, minimum £1.
- Or visit your local branch with a cheque for the amount you wish to save, minimum £1, along with appropriate identification and proof of address.
Note: When making cheques payable to Nationwide, please also include the name of the person into whose account the money is being paid, for example, Nationwide – J. Smith.
You can open more than one bond if you want, but you can't add to a bond once it has been activated.
