How does it work?

Card Reader Security uses something you have (your FlexAccount Visa debit card) and something only you know (your Visa debit card PIN) to generate a unique eight digit passcode for you to use to authorise transactions when you use our Internet Banking service.

The Card Reader is a small hand-held device which works independently of your PC. It doesn't contain any personal information, it just reads the chip on your card. This makes it even more difficult for fraudsters to get access to your money.

You may not have to use your Card Reader to authorise all Internet Banking transactions, but we recommend you keep it with you as you could be asked to use it at any time.
