Will I have to close my account and open a Nationwide account?

No. You can continue to use your existing account with a new passbook that we will provide. Over the next 12 months we will review all former Portman accounts and our intention is to transfer them to Nationwide systems during this period. We will write to you detailing your options 30 days before any change.

Can I operate my account in any branch or agency?

Yes. You can operate your account in all our branches and agencies.

Will my Portman passbook be replaced with a Nationwide passbook?

Yes. All Portman passbooks will be replaced with Nationwide passbooks. This will happen gradually over the coming months so there is no need to rush to a branch to get your passbook replaced.
