Planning for university
So you’ve spent a large chunk of your life lavishing love, time and money on your child and now they’re ready to fly the nest. Excitement. Pride. Anxiety. Your child is probably not the only one feeling some mixed emotions.
Going to university or college is a big step for them. It’s also quite a balancing act for you. They need to learn to stand on their own two feet. But at the same time, you obviously want to be there for them if they need you.
The good news is that there are a number of small and practical things you can do to help, without cramping their new found independence. From helping them find suitable accommodation and providing a little guidance on budgeting, to helping them sort out their student loan and any grants or bursaries they might be eligible for.
And that’s why we’ve produced this guide. You’re there for them. We’re here for you.
