Debt advice and Counselling
Independent advice is important when you have debts with more than one company. Nationwide has worked with Citizens Advice (widely known as the CAB) to develop the Money Management section of its online Adviceguide. This has advice and information to help you deal with a wide range of debts, an interactive budgeting tool, and sample letters to send to your creditors.
There are many other organisations who offer advice but some charge. The ones listed below all offer free advice:
