Top up/Switch
If you're an existing Nationwide investment customer, the way in which you can make changes to your funds will depend on when you bought your investment.
In 2009, Nationwide began to phase in a slightly different investment offering. This was using an investment service known as the "Investor Portfolio Service (IPS)". If you have an investment as part of the Investor Portfolio Service, this will be clearly shown on the front page of the Key Features document or contract note you were given at the time of the sale.
Alternatively your valuation statements, which are dated annually in June would look like the one marked below as A.
If you were not sold an investment fund using IPS, then Legal & General use a different investment administration centre. In this case your valuation statements, which are sent out twice a year, would look like the one marked below as B.
Example statement A – IPS customers

Example Statement B – Non-IPS customers

- If you are topping up your ISA you can currently put up to £7,200 into a stocks and shares ISA, or use this allowance in conjunction with a cash ISA.
