    Reviewing your investment

    • it is important to remember that fund values will continue to fluctuate to reflect market conditions, further reinforcing the long term nature of these investments. However, the decision to continue with your investment is dependent on individual needs and circumstances.
    • if you think any of these products may be suitable but you're unsure and would like some advice, please talk to one of our Senior Financial Consultants. They'll be able to advise you on the full range of investment products offered through Nationwide.
    • unless you speak to a Nationwide Senior Financial Consultant, however, you'll receive no advice or recommendation from any employee of Nationwide Building Society and the decision to continue with and/or increase your investment, as described below, will be your own.
  • If you topped up your stocks and shares ISA either with a one off payment or through a regular investment and it takes you over your £7,200 ISA limit, your payment will be rejected. If this happens, Legal & General will write to you and inform you that the payment has been rejected.

If you have a cash ISA and a stocks and shares ISA it is your responsibility to ensure that the contributions to both do not exceed the overall allowance.

  • If you decide to top-up your existing stocks and shares ISA or unit trust fund, you can:

    • use your debit card to top-up online
    • visit any Nationwide branch
    • pay by cheque. Send a cheque and your Legal & General customer number to

Legal & General Retail Investments, Administration Centre, Mellon House, Ingrave Road, Brentwood, Essex CM15 8TG. The cheque must be made payable to Legal & General followed by the account holders name (e.g. "Legal & General - Mr J. Smith")

Remember that any increase to an ISA investment must be within your ISA allowance, described above, and be permitted.

  • Direct Debit (DD) payments, if you are making them, can be increased, decreased or stopped by you at any time (subject to the restrictions on ISA investments described above). To make any changes to your DD, or to set one up, please send your written instructions to Legal & General Retail Investments, Administration Centre, Mellon House, Ingrave Road, Brentwood, Essex CM15 8TG.

  • If you need access to some of your investment there is no need to cancel the whole plan, just withdraw what you need.

    • You will need to write to Legal & General instructing them to sell your units. They will need to know whether you want to sell all or only some of your units (e.g. 50%) although the minimum amount you can sell is £20
    • send your letter to Legal & General Retail Investments, Administration Centre, Mellon House, Ingrave Road, Brentwood, Essex CM15 8TG

Following receipt of your written instructions, Legal & General will calculate the value of the units you are selling using the appropriate unit price as at the next valuation point. The valuation point for each of the funds is:
