How do I access Microsoft Money with my sign-on details?
If you are a registered Internet Banking user and have a valid account, please read the following.
Once you have navigated the Password section, you will be asked to set up what type of account you wish to create.
Select either Banking, Credit card or Investment, then select Next.
A list of financial institution's will appear. Select Nationwide Building Society and then Next. If you are not connected to the Internet at this point, you will be prompted to do so.
You are given 3 options, depending on the sign on information you have. If you have registered for the Internet Banking service, select the option 'Yes, I have special sign-in information for use with Money' and select Next.
The next screen will ask you to enter your sign on details that you also use for the Internet Banking service. In the 'Customer Number' field, enter the same ten digit Customer Number that you currently access the Internet Banking service with. If this number is not ten digits, prefix this number with leading zeros. In the Memorable Data + Pass.No. field, enter any one piece of memorable data which you set up when you registered for the Internet Banking service, followed immediately by your six digit Passnumber. The data for this second field will appear in an encrypted format.
If you wish for your memorable data and passnumber details to be remembered for future connections, ensure the tick box 'Remember this password' is selected. Click 'Next'.
You are then given a number of options by use of a drop-down box for how much information you wish to download. Choose one of these options, or if you do not wish to download any transactions ensure the option 'Don't include my previous transactions' is selected. Then select Next.
You will now see a summary page of what accounts have been set up. Select an option from the available links or select Finish.
You are shown the Money homepage by default. To view your accounts with downloaded transactions you have set up, select the Accounts tab from the toolbar, and then select the link for the account you wish to view.
To download subsequent transactions, from the Money homepage, select Accounts tab from the toolbar, and under the menu heading 'Common Tasks' on the left hand side of the screen, choose 'Update now'. You can tick or untick either of the boxes in the Connect window. If you have previously selected the option to save your sign on details, entering these details again is not required. If you did not select this option, enter any one piece of memorable data immediately followed by your six digit passnumber in the Password field. Then select Update. If you are not already connected to the Internet at this point, you will be prompted to do so.
A Call Summary window will appear. Select OK. If you have any transactions have been downloaded since your last connection, a link will appear to the right of the relevant account, advising the number of transactions that have been downloaded. Click on each available link. A summary of the available transactions will be shown. If you wish to download all transactions, under the menu heading 'Common Tasks', select Reconcile transactions', then select 'Accept all transactions'. Select 'Yes' to the confirmation window, and the transactions are then transferred into the relevant account. Choose 'Account List' at the top of the page to return to your Account Summary page and click each subsequent account in turn.
