What is Microsoft Money?
Microsoft Money is a comprehensive money management system from Microsoft. It makes it easier than ever before to manage where your money goes and how it grows, giving you everything you need to accomplish your core financial tasks. You can download account statements 24 hours a day from the comfort of your own home, track your family's spending with customised, easy-to-read reports and charts. You can even download current stock prices into Money so your investment portfolio is always up-to-date.
Nationwide only supports full UK versions of Microsoft Money 2002 through to 2005. Please note that Microsoft have announced that they will not be releasing Money 2006 or 2007 to the UK market.

How do I access Microsoft Money with my sign on details?
The sign on details you use for Microsoft Money should be the same as those you use for Internet Banking.
When setting your sign on details in Microsoft Money, you need to enter a ten digit Customer Number in the first field. If the existing number you have is not ten digits, please prefix this with leading zeros. In the second field, you need to enter any one piece of memorable data immediately followed by your six digit Passnumber.
To download your transactions, in the Password field, you need to enter any one piece of Memorable Data, again, immediately followed by your six digit Passnumber.
However, if the details you use for Microsoft Money and Internet Banking are different, please use the following link, depending on the version of Money you use, to update your details, to enable you to download your transactions once again.
When I try to use Money 2002, or later, to download my transactions, the password window is too small to let me enter my full memorable date/pass number.
Although the Password window only allows you to view a certain number of characters (displayed as *********), you will still be able to enter the required sign on details into this window.

Before carrying out the following, you are advised to have backed up your Microsoft Money file. You need to look at the accounts listed under the Nationwide Building Society section, and check to see if there are any closed accounts listed. If there are closed accounts displayed, delete these from the Money file. You can do this by right clicking the account and selecting the Delete option and choosing OK to the confirmation window.
Once deleted, you should be able to download all your active accounts once again.
I have downloaded my Nationwide statement details into Money, but the amounts are displayed in dollars instead of pounds.
This will happen if your PC regional settings are set to English (United States). To correct this, select 'Settings', 'Control Panel' from your 'Start' button, select 'Regional Settings' and select 'English (British)'. Your statement details should then display in pounds.
How secure is Internet Banking with Money?
Money uses the latest 128 bit encryption to ensure that your bank details are secure.
I receive an error message which states that the "digital security certificate is out of date or invalid". How do I resolve this?
