There are a number of documents that we may require from your client in order to proceed with their application. These include:

The Society must satisfy identification requirements (Name and Address) for ALL mortgage applicants including guarantors. As a result you may be asked to provide evidence to confirm your clients name and address when taking out a mortgage with us. Acceptable proofs of name include:

| UK residency | Non-UK or European Economic Area (EEA) citizens require indefinite leave to remain in the UK. This must be evidenced by a stamp in a currently valid passport or written confirmation from the Home Office. |
| Income |
Nationwide requires that proof of income is available and reserves the right to request proofs for any applications received. Acceptable proofs include:
For clients who own a let property they must provide a copy of their tenancy agreement and up to date bank statements confirming amount of mortgage payment and receipt of a minimum one month's rental income. For clients who are unable to prove income and therefore require a self-certification mortgage,please refer to UCB Home Loans, our specialist lender for self-certified and buy to let mortgages. |
