Price Rewind Terms and Conditions

1. This offer applies to customers switching to Nationwide home insurance with a Policy start date between 1 September 2008 and 5 December 2008.
2. To be considered for a refund under this offer, you must submit a valid claim form. This must be: using the claim form provided to be received on or before 12 December 2008 (proof of posting is not a proof of receipt) accompanied by a copy of the home insurance Policy/Renewal Schedule issued by your previous insurer (to include details and cost of the insurance policy you took out last year). For comparison purposes this must have started between 1 September 2007 and 5 December 2008. Nationwide reserves the right to request further information or reject claims where the Policies do not start between these dates.
3. Nationwide will verify that the Policy/Renewal schedule supplied is on an equivalent basis to our Policy Schedule. By 'equivalent basis' we mean: the address of the property is the same the voluntary excess is not lower on your Nationwide Policy (unless the maximum Nationwide voluntary excess has been selected) the types of cover which are the same on both Policies will be compared for refund purposes. i.e. Buildings and/or Contents cover with the same additional cover options (such as Accidental Damage).
4. Only one claim for a refund may be made per Policy.
5. Where any of the above information is not provided on the Policy/Renewal Schedule, Nationwide reserves the right to reject the claim unless the claimant can provide written confirmation from their previous provider.
6. Any refund will be based on a comparison between the total of all premiums that made up the cover provided by your previous insurer and the equivalent cover taken out through Nationwide.
7. Where a valid claim is made, Nationwide will credit the Policyholder named in the Policy Schedule with the difference in total Policy costs up to a maximum of £100. This claim will be verified once the new Nationwide Policy has been in force for 31 days. Once this time has elapsed, customers who pay monthly by Direct Debit will have the refund credited to their bank account within 28 days. Customers who pay by debit/credit card will receive a cheque. Please note that cheques may take up to 10 working days to be processed.
8. If you cancel your Nationwide home insurance Policy in the first six months, Nationwide reserves the right to request a refund equal to the difference in premiums paid to you.
9. Nationwide reserves the right to decline any claims, which we believe may be fraudulent or not given in good faith.
10. Nationwide reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time.
11. This offer is not available to existing and renewing Nationwide home insurance customers.
12. This offer is not available to customers who have made a claim on their insurance Policy during the 12 months preceding the start date of the Nationwide Policy.
