You will be transferred to LV='s website to complete your Nationwide car insurance online quote and application. The application process is quick and easy and you will be guided through each stage of the form and prompted to fill in all necessary information.
There are four steps to the quote process.
- About You
-
This is where you will be required to provide personal information about the main driver. The information you will be required to provide includes:
- name;
- address;

- occupation;
- home ownership;
- how long you have lived in the UK;
- driving licence details;
- previous loss, incident and claim history in the past five years;
- no claim discount history; and
- any motoring convictions.
If you have selected to add additional drivers to the car insurance policy, you will then be asked to provide similar information about them, so ensure you are aware of their details if they are not with you at the time of application. You need to ensure you have their permission to provide their personal details.

* Please note, if you are planning on purchasing a new car, you can obtain an insurance quote but you will not be able to buy the car insurance until you have a registration number for the vehicle.
- Your Quote
-
Once all information regarding the vehicle and drivers has been collected, your Nationwide car insurance quote will be generated and you will be offered the option to either make a full payment by credit/debit card or in monthly instalments by direct debit if you’re eligible.
This page provides access to your car insurance Document of Insurance, Policy Details, Use of your information and Terms and conditions. You are advised to read them before you proceed to purchase.

-

You will then be shown the Terms and Conditions of your policy and asked to confirm you agree to them before selecting if you would like to pay in full or in monthly instalments by direct debit if you're eligible.
